    Man kann doch heute alles über dem internet bestellen? Hab damit auch in Spanischer Pyreneeën kein Problem, und da gibt's auch kein Reimo...
    So Wasserhähne und dergleichen für Womos bekommt man auch so. Fritz Berger zB liefert Weltweit glaube ich. Aber es gibt doch auch Kabinen und Wohnwagen in der USA, seh da gar kein Problem, oder?

    Ein wenig spät, aber naja ...
    Meine Explorer wurde in Südafrika gebaut und im Jahr 1991 eingeführt in Europa.
    Der von dir genannte Marke Explorer ist von einem späteren Zeitpunkt, glaube ich?
    Darüber hinaus ist die ganze Geschichte rund um die South African Explorer offenbar nicht erfolgreich gewesen. Es sind nur wenige Exemplare in Europa verkauft worden und ich war einer der wenigen glücklichen Besitzer. Hab ihn damals auf einem Wohnwagen Messe in Amsterdam gekauft. Das Unternehmen existiert auch nicht mehr, soweit ich weiß.
    Aber für mich ist es jetzt nur noch eine schöne Erinnerung an eine alte womobox womit wir schone Reisen gemacht habe.

    Die Einfuhr von solchen Kabine aus Spanien mit einem Preis von 5900 Euro inklusive Mehrwertsteuer in den leeren Ausführung darf doch nicht wirklich so viel kosten, dass das Ergebnis unattraktiv ist, oder?

    Anpassungen werden nicht wirklich notwendig sein, vor allem, wenn es Ladung ist. Die vollständige Fassung muss vielleicht in Bezug auf Gasdruckregler angepasst werden, aber das kann zu einem Preis von weniger als 11.000 Euro inklusive Mehrwertsteuer doch wirklich kein Problem sein!

    Meine Explorer hatte, glaube ich, nichts mit dem Explorer zu tun der du meinst mit dem Links. Ich weiß uberhaupt nicht, ob meiner vom gleichen Hersteller ist / war, trotz des Namens.

    Beigefügt ist ein Link zu einigen Bildern meiner Kabine aus dem Jahr 1993, die Spanische auf Toyata HiLux und die Französische auf Dacia Logan und eine Zeichnung des Projektes, woran ich jetzt arbeite auf Fiat Strada in "Lange / Extra 'Ausführung.

    Möchte mich gern vorstellen aber tu es auf Englisch, das ist für mich einfacher....

    I´m living in Spain and have been interested in truckcampers for many years. I bought a brandnew one in 1992. It was made in South-Africa and named "Explorer", never seen another one again. I sold it a few years later and have never had one again but have been designing different models to built one myself. For a long time I´ve been readiing here and have found a lot of good ideas.

    Also found a spanish website and have been in contact with the owner of the small company behind it. They built small truckcampers for a very atractive price. You can buy the complete but empty unit for 4900 Euros plus VAT, which in Spain is 21%.
    I don´r think you´ll find something like that in Germany.

    I want to emphasize that I´m not involved with this company and don´t have any financial bindings with it. It´s just that it surprises me that no one has found this one but suppose that is because it´s in Spanish.

    There are though several strange things about this unit. The finished product has for example a British cooker wit a grill build-in. You don´t see these in Europe and the constructor of this unit did obviously not know of the grill because he forgot to make a door beneath the cooker where to put the grill pan. Almost all English caravans have such a cooker/grill. They also don´t seem to know that there are different kind of jacks available for truckcampers, and have not included these in there pricelist. On some photos you can see that they themselves use some kind of crane jacks to lift the unit.

    The lifting mechanisme of the roof is also a bit primitive and the idea seems to have been "stolen" from some American designs.

    Anyway it looks promising enough to mention it here. Anyone having problems with the spanish text; just ask and I´ll do my best to translate it.
    I´ll sent a message to the owner of the company about this post, but I doubt he will understand English or German.......

    It´s a French one and made for the Fiat Strada or Dacia Logan pickup but they do sell other models as well.
